The Cobbler

Daily writing prompt
Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.

First a favourite line from Dylan.

“I make shoes for everyone, even you, while I still go barefoot”

I used to think this was maybe a quote from the Bible, but I now think it’s Bobs own, tell me if I’m wrong.

I had the idea of pouring rain and roaring pain, then it all went off course, so whilst this isn’t the best thing I’ve written it fits todays prompt.

A Two Way Cure.

It’s pouring with rain,

I’m roaring with pain.

The healing from my burns is so slow,

Though it will get better I know.

As I’m writing this, I realise,

That creating this blog was quite wise.

I’m finding new friends, to share my lines,

New friends of the mindful kind.

I’m slowly getting back, to being Repair Man,

Already fixed someone’s fancy hand fan,

Coffee lady also was glad and more,

When I mended the lock of her coffee vans door.

This is what it’s all about for me,

Making others see.

Giving is better than taking,

Reward for me is the happiness I’m creating.
