I Can Write, But Can I Count?

30 !!!! thing that make me happy? Mm

My son, the sun, a smile from anyone, anyone’s love, the sky up above.
My lady, a new baby, a better tomorrow well maybe.
Fresh rain, no pain, a walk down memory lane.
A smile from my wife, green shoots of life, a sign of the end of worldwide strife.
My feet in running water, my soon to be in law daughter, the scars on my arm getting shorter and shorter.
Something I’ve made something I’ve written, a stroll down a country lane in my lovely Britain.
The smell of the sea, a cup of Earl Grey tea, fish and chips for my sweet lady and me.
A bright shooting star, to be where you are, knowing that friends are never too far.
The sound of birds, cattle grazing in herds, the beauty of her face and my wife’s loving words.

That was a challenge, not because I’m short of things that make me happy, but because some things can’t be explained easily, too complex, or too fleeting, just one example see the attached image. It’s a humming bird hawk moth. Like a fairy it darted from one flower to another as my lady and I sat mesmerised.

The following from yesterday’s post, from the prompt about habits. For some unknown reason, almost no one viewed it.

Cosmetic Surgery.

I go in a shop, which has ears on display, the shop owner says this pair, you will hear what all say.
I go back to the same shop for a new pair of eyes, “Try these” the man says, “They’re about the right size”
My mouth with age it’s got a little too wide, he sold me a new one, with more teeth inside.
All the hair it’s disappeared off my old head, let’s try this wig on the nice shopkeeper said.
My nose my nose, how big it has grown, but as far as noses go, I’d sooner pick my own!
