How Many Days?

I like to please people, that’s what motivates me. If I make someone else happy, that makes me happy. Some will probably call it a flaw, attention seaker and all that, but what care I !
I remember when I was building my Bentley model, my wife was still working then, I couldn’t wait for her to come home to show her the latest part I’d made, or the assembly I’d done. She always showed an interest, she shows an interest in everything I do, that’s one of the reasons I love her so much. Of course it’s mutual, my wife is good with her hands also, beautiful decoupage she makes.

I think maybe a bit of Dylan “ They call me a bummer and a gynsot too bit what cares I for praise” From Days of 49 on the Self Portrate album. Although I think this track is most likely a traditional folk

How Many Days ?

How many days would it take to fix the word ?
If each day when we arise, our aim was to please someone?
Just one little thing to make someone smile, Some mathematician should do the sum.

It shouldn’t take that long I don’t think,
It’s that old cliche, ripples in a pond,
Or the domino effect if you prefer,
So we should not despond.

I’ll send a joke to Mr Trump,
If you send one to Putin.
Do you think this would work ?
It’s certainly worth disputing.

But then again, that wouldn’t work,
The theory applies to those with feelings,
It doesn’t work on reptiles,
Only proper human beings.

So we’ll carry on and do our bit.
Our group will grow in size.
Then when there are enough of us, The reptiles we’ll ostracise.
