Random and surreal poetry satire and short stories.

Principles and Principals.

The principles I follow, are love and respect for my fellow human beings, honesty, and a total lack of aggression.

.The Principal

My neighbour is a “clever”man the principal of a college, but as for the menuciae of life, of that he has no knowledge. He can speak Latin he can speak Greek, but has no answers to questions that that we all seek.

He can’t change a light bulb or wire up a plug, if you ask him about brotherly love he’ll just give a shrug. He dose know how to manipulate those under his control, teaching how obtain power, and get rich, are his only goals.

I appear to have run out of steam on that one.

I had a consultation with my doctor the other day, regarding my bouts of depression. I explained to him the situation with my home, re the recent burglary and several other past burglaries, problems with traffic noise, lack of natural light, etc, etc., and he offered me more pills of course. So I came up with this.

Pills.

I have a pill in the morning, a pill late at night, a pill for when the wheels fall off, and I’m not feeling right.

I have a pill for when I can’t sleep, a pill to wake me up, a pill after what the tea leaves say in the bottom of my cup.

A pill for theft, a pill for crime, a pill to help through the worst of times.

A pill for when I’ve got no cash, and I am  feeling poor, a pill for when the Necromancer comes knocking at my door.

A pill for tomorrow, a pill for today, a pill will cure everything, is  what the doctors say.

Fight the symptom not the disease ? For that there is no answer, may as well go fly a kite, or ask the Necromancer.

All words Meadowhead Bard.
