George Don’t Do That.

This prompt reminds of the late Joyce Grenfell, in her monologues, she was always telling her pupils to leave things alone. “ George don’t do that” It’s time the little children that run our world, should leave things alone, the moon included. So no I don’t want to go to the moon, I like seeing it up there in sky when the sky’s not polluted by light that is. and I don’t want it covered in filth like the earth is.

Moon.

So you’ve messed up the Earth, What you gonna do next ? You can’t leave anything alone, That’s what makes me vex.

Anything g you desire, you just can’t leave it alone,       Dig it up, burn it, pump it down a tube,                      just like a spoilt brat,  See it want it take it, that’s your attitude

This precious jewel our Earth,                                     You’ve raped pillaged and abused, So now you want the moon as well, You’re guilty, and should stand accused.

When you stand in front of a judge, I think your excuse, you “Just wanted it” I know. The judge may send you to the moon, Please take all your kind and go.

All words Meadowhead Bard.
