Slow Learner

When I was young all those millions of years ago, I was just like young folk are now, wanting the trendy clothes, the latest audio for my car etc, etc. The difference now though selling has gone into hyperdrive. New phone every year, new car, every three years, new fashion items in what seems like every few days. The extraordinary wealth of people like Elon Musk woke me up to just how obscene our world has become. Some of these people could end world hunger and still have change to buy there endless supply of multi thousand pound bottles of wine, and maybe even the odd space rocket. Also all those years ago politicians were real statesmen, what do we have now, an entire circus of clowns.

On a similar theme, please see also my poem wasted youth., in my blogs history.

Don’t Buy It.

Don’t buy it don’t buy it, it’ll only cause you grief
Don’t buy it don’t buy it, the salesman’s a thief
Don’t buy it don’t buy it, it’s his gain your loss
Don’t buy it don’t buy it, he’s not your boss

Don’t buy it don’t buy it, he gets richer you get poorer
Don’t buy it don’t buy it, you’re judgments in error
Don’t buy it don’t buy it, it’s retail propaganda
Don’t buy it, don’t buy it, to their wishes don’t pander.

Don’t buy it don’t buy it, you’re feeding the monster
Don’t buy it don’t buy it, don’t be his sponsor
Don’t buy it, don’t buy it, you don’t want it you don’t need it
Don’t buy it, don’t buy it, their war machine don’t feed it.

All words Meadowhead Bard.

Very much my view, Indi. Imagine having the power to end world hunger and choosing not to do it. That, my friend, is the very definition of evil.
