If I had a tattoo, it would say “I hate tattoos” and I would have it somewhere no one could see it, because I wouldn’t want any one to know.
Oh dear! Some people aren’t going to like this, but these blogs are about bloggers expressing their opinions, and the following is my opinion on tattoos. I don’t really blame the owners of the tattoos, I blame society for driving people to the extreme lengths of mutilating their bodies to get attention in a world where everyone is struggling to find an identity.
Tattoos
Mummy it’s cold why doesn’t that lady cover her shoulders ?
I doest’t matter darling, I’ll tell you when you’re older.
Mummy why’s that lady got bare legs in the rain ?
Stop asking darling, I shan’t tell you again.
Mummy I’m frightened, all those daggers up that man’s arm,
He’s just a silly man darling he’ll do you no harm.
Mummy that man there’s got an eye on the back of his head,
Don’t worry darling have I not just said.
All those sculls across that man’s chest !
Oh Mummy, Oh Mummy he looks such a mess.
That man there’s got a picture of two men fighting,
On that ladies arm, it looks like foreign writing.
Oh my darling daughter come and sit next to me,
Those horrible pictures are tattoos that you see.
All those people, they’re just seeking attention,
They’re lost insecure, and too neglected to mention.
They say it’s a kind of art, but that isn’t right my love,
Who would spray paint all over the Mona Lisa Oh heavens above.
Covering one piece of art up with another.
You are my masterpiece darling I am your mother,
If everyone was loved, there’d be no need for this mutilation,
People wouldn’t act like they’re from some uncivilised nation.
Your body is a temple, keep it beautiful and clean,
To violate this precious gift, is detestable and obscene.
All words Meadowhead Bard.
