The Danger of Not Understanding

I DON’T UNDERSTAND.

“What do you mean I don’t understand ?
Iv’e got all I need right here in in my hand
I’ve got EBay, Amazon, and a little bit of Etsy
Pictures of dogs and people being zesty”

“My worlds not broken, look my screen’s fine
I’ve got all I need right here I no need to whine
People starving ? Sorry I can’t see it
You want someone sympathetic? Sorry I can’t be it”

“Thousands dying in wars, you’re down on all fours
Begging and pleading for me to join your cause
These pictures of dogs dressed in woolly suits
Why listen to bad news when they all look so cute”

Which suit shall I buy for my little canine?
What did that man mean when he said all wasn’t not fine?
There’s someone at my door, just when I was having fun
I open it to find someone with a machine gun.

All words Meadowhead Bard.
