The English women’s football team have won the European cup, of course it’s not a typical day! But, you know what? Nothing has changed, in a few days all the hoo-ha will have died down, and all the greed, violence and wars will magically reappear. Of course I’m not that naive, I know we all need distractions, I’m just trying to demonstrate how easily we are distracted by a quick fix, an adrenaline rush, just like the one I get when my iPad pings to say I’ve got another “like” on my blog!
So a line from Dylan “We are idiots babe, it’s a wonder we can even feed ourselves” From the track “Idiot Wind” on the “Blood on the Tracks” album. Possibly Dylan’s best album, and one of the best ever by anyone. That’s if you can stand so much vitriol and bitterness in one bite. So much so that Dylan himself never wants to talk about it.

It’s not been a typical day for me, as well as having to cope with my burn injuries, I needed a dentist relatively urgently, but no luck I will have to suffer until I can get an appointment. So the following seem apt.

When all of  your applications have rejected, and all your requests for appointments are in vane,
Theres no one you can actually speak to, you’ll just have to, put up with, the pain.

When the pain from your teeth is like daggers, and the pliers are calling you from your shed, there’s no dentist on this planet you can go to, just take two aspirin and go off to bed.
