Random and surreal poetry satire and short stories.

Don’t just read it, consume It.

Most people think whiting is little squidly lines on a piece of paper, but no those are letters. Whiting are a beautiful little silver fish, What I like most about whiting is its taste, it’s very similar to cod but with more letters. You can get italic whiting but it tends to fall over in the pan whilst cooking because it slopes to one side. There are also bold whiting these have much more meat on them, and their flavour really stands out.

A recipe for whiting,

Arrange your whiting on sheets of paper add a little spice and cook, you can add a little bit of sole if you wish, repeat, as required. Layer as many as you want together, until you have a nice pile. If you only want a novel little meal, about a hundred layers should do, sandwich them between two pieces of stiff paper and serve. You could though have up to a thousand layers, consuming that should get you through war and peace.
p.s, Best eaten a tome.

I hope you enjoyed my little bit of nonsense. Seriously, I love writing because it’s so therapeutic, and allows me to share my often weird thoughts with a world wide audience. It’s also a good way to try and wake people up to the madness of the world, sometimes even more mad than my bit of nonsense above, for instance Trump and Putin, even I couldn’t have made that one up!

  2. I absolutely enjoyed the creativity and whimsical nature of your blog post! The way you play with words and incorporate humor is truly engaging.

I’m curious, what inspired you to write about the lesser-known beauty of whiting fish and infuse it with such unique storytelling elements? Is there a specific personal experience or thought process that led to this delightful piece?

    1. Oh man!
Thank you so much for your lovely warm comment. I had some bad news yesterday, woke up feeling so low and now you have lifted me.
Each day I look at the prompt from WordPress, and they are nearly always boring, so I try to find a way to turn them on their head. This day I think it was “Why do you like writing?” I just thought “Writing-whiting, what the heck, and went with it. That day my mate text me, to ask when they would be letting out!
I’m curious, the name activ8, would you perchance be from my area? We have a local magazine called .Active8
I think you should be able to find my email on the blog, if not please find another way.
      Many, many thanks, Keith.
