As mentioned previously I am prone to obsessions. Dieting for example, one is only supposed to get weighed once a week, but then it gradually creeps up, twice a week, and then it’s every other day. Then, there I am getting weighed every morning and then the night time ones! It’s like any habit, it gives one a buzz. If one’s lost, and a bit of a downer if one’s put on. I put nearly one stone on when I was in hospital, I’m still trying to lose it, so I can eat what I like when I’m on holiday
Talking about holidays, we go away Sunday 31 August. and will be away most September, spending most of the time in the New Forest Hampshire, in our camper van.
Most of the time there will be no internet, and I don’t do i.phones, so I won’t be doing many posts through September, I will be writing though, stocking up for when I get back.
About my first open mike night. It was a little disappointing, not much of an audience, plus there were two academics organising, and they both read from their own published books, all a bit too serious for me. Other than that, I performed well, and got plenty of cheers and laughs.
Thank you for all those who expressed an interest.
A bit of my speciality NONSENSE.
Diet.
I’m going on diet, I’m going to lose some weight, I’ll start by avoiding all the things I hate. Things like salad, broccoli and sprouts, I know it will work, I don’t have any doubts.
Think of all the weigh I’ll lose, if I just eat the things I love, if I only eat the nice things and none of the above, I’ll just just have cakes, sausages, chips and pies, if I don’t lose weight like this, it will be a big surprise.
I had two weeks of this regime, and it must be said. I haven’t lost any weight, I’ve put pounds on instead, I get on the scales in the morning, I get on the scales at night, but the weight it just piles on and on, this just can’t be right.
I’ve now swapped it all around, and only eat the things I hate. all the horrid green stuff, piled upon my plate, I find it all so bland, so tasteless and depressingI even put weight on from a bit of salad dressing.
If I don’t lose these inches soon what can I eat on hols?No Ice cream, no fish and chips, no greasy old spag bols. I’ll be glad when it’s all over, and the excess it is all gone, by then it will be Christmas, and it will then all go back on.
