Meadowhead Bard

Random and surreal poetry satire and short stories.

I’m not Done yet.

A few friends out there in blog land, have expressed their concern, that my first attempt at entertaining, did not go to plan. I went to plan, I played my part well, but other elements were not there.
So anticlimax is the word, after weeks of preparation, I have today succumbed to the ravages of the black dog, well maybe not ravages, but he has laid his paws on me.
Not to worry, like Felix, or is that Phoenix I will rise from the ashes.

A line from Bob Dylan’s song “Mixed Up Confusion” From the out takes album Biograph. “ I’ve got mixed up confusion, man it’s killing me, too many people, and they’re all too hard to please”

NOT COOKED YET.

Take a man with mixed up mind, stir him till he boils. Take a pinch of disappointment, add twisted confusion coils.

Strain out, all the hope and wishes, rinse till all colour bleached. Kneed and mould kneed and mould, till complicity is reached.

Scrape the bottom of the pan, remove the last vestiges of sanity. Place in an oven on extreme heat, leave for all eternity.

You’ve tried before, you’ve failed before, you will no doubt keep trying, but I will fight, and I will win. So chef of despair, I leave you sighing.

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I am really beginning to fall out with Word Press editor. I always check my text several times before publishing, make any changes necessary. But sometimes forget to press save. So let me clear this up we are not going away 31 September and staying away all September. We are in fact going away 31 August, coming home end of September.
Thank you Oh eagle eyed one !!!

All words Meadowhead Bard. Except Dylan quote.

  1. That is a good one, leaving 31 September and stay away that whole month. Technically, you’ll already be away but still leave on 31 September 🤣.

There is always a second time Keith. As long as you don’t give up.

I was hoping you’d found a time machine, Indi. Have a great break and see you when you get back.
