My biggest Challenges at the moment are the six we have in our back garden. I freed them from a group of so called men playing soldiers, so they couldn’t hurt anyone. One is now a very cosy badger set, one is a foxes den, the others have itinerant squirrels. If anyone knows how I can get rid of these big boys toys, please email me at freetheworldofmadness@commonman.yucky The turret has broken off one, I keep that in the house to keep all my jokes in, it’s a barrel of laugh’s. I don’t want to shell out for another one or have to rifle through the Territorial Armies arsenal (nearly misspelled that) while they are out manhoovering.
I have a friend in the TA, he is convinced he is doing the right thing, and I wouldn’t try and convince him otherwise, such is the power of propaganda it would be impossible. Anyway I like him too much.
Free of rhyme, free of rhyme ! Just please don’t let that be a proper email !
Many will be saying soldiers are brave people, and yes that is undoubtedly true, but that is on the battle field once they have been indoctrinated and manipulated. I heard for the first time the other day a song by Buffy Sainte Marie called “Universal soldier” In which she is saying, If there were no soldiers there would be no wars. The cowardly leaders, dictators and religious zealots wouldn’t do their own dirty work that’s for sure. The song was covered by Donovan, but us Dylan fans don’t like to mentioning that. name. There must be someone out there who likes both Dylan and Donovan, but I haven’t met them yet.
I wish all my readers the best for 2026, let it be the year all eyes are opened.
