Christmas has just gone, and I am thinking, Christmas is a microcosm of what’s happened to the world, totally sold out ! Where is the kindness, where is the love ? Scattered and hidden in tiny enclaves around our once beautiful planet. Religion turned into a weapon, racism rife, misogyny rife, plutocracy rife, greed the ruling power, guns and knives given to young children. Do I want to see more NO THANK YOU.
I’m enjoying these little stories with a twist, try this one. Another one of those products I wish I could invent. Ok, so there’s a few flaws on the story, but bear in mind I write a fresh one most days, usually in about an hour.
The Survey.
As Bill walks down High Street “ Could you fill out a little survey?”
“I don’t do surveys” “Oh but for this one £50 we pay”
“Ok then for £50 l will, and by the way my name is Bill”
“ That’s perfect I’m Sally, as long as you have an hour to kill”
“ Come into my little cabin, put these five things in order,
then just take a little pill with a drink of water”
This is simple thought Bill, top of the list my wife
Then our kids come next the joy of both our lives
Next would be his friends, especially his best mate Bob
Bill then thought a second, four would be his job
Only one more item, last of five his phone
Then he’d noticed Sally gone, had left him there alone
One second only passed, Sally was back with water and the pill
“ That’s good, now take the pill, I’ll put your list on the window sill”
Ten minuets, passed, then Bill was asked to do the list again
The answers will be the same he thought she must think I’m not sane
So Bill wrote out the list again, and handed it to Sally
She handed Bill a cheque, and said that’s it Bill no need to dally
Back at head office Sally and boss alone
“That’s another one boss, most important thing his phone”
All words Meadowhead Bard.
