As I Woke Up One Morning.

As I Awoke This Morning.

When I awoke this morning, I came down stairs to perform my usual ritual, wash the burn scars on my arm and hands, apply cream, replace the compression garments. Next task put on the kettle for our first coffee of the day, check my blog, check the BBC News app on my iPad. That’s when everything went off piste.
“Ann they’re here, it’s happening!” “What! they’ve finally come to install the heat pump?” “No !, aliens have landed, they’ve already taken away Trump, Xi Jinping, Putin, and a load of loonies”. Traffic on the road outside had come to a standstill, people were out of their cars cheering, it was like VE Day all over again.
I turned on the TV, Phil Mein was making an announcement, “Ann Endtuit the leader of the intergalactic police, was to make a speech at 9pm to announce the “Peacification” of Earth. “We already know” said Phil “All weapons have been rendered useless, either by some mechanical or electronic means, or soldiers just seem to have lost the will to pull the triggers”

Now that would be a perfect day !!!

I had to edit and remove the word “other” In fear of repercussions. Can you spot where it was removed from.

No poem today, so a little something from my blackboard days, way before I started the blog.

Restart Wreck.

Following reports of suspected humane activity on the planet Westminster,

Captain James T Cake, and his crew are on their way in the Starship Compromise to investigate.

     Captains log star-date 2026/02/05

On beaming down to Westminster, Lieutenant Cheque Off and I have discovered the cause for alarm. The leaders Of Planet Westminster in an effort to restart their wrecked economy, were going to reduce the amount of tax their wealthy would pay although many inhabitants were starving. But they had gone back on the decision. This “U” turn was so out of character it had raised suspicion that some of the leaders had a spark of humanity. T.Cake soon found out though it wasn’t for concern of the poor, it was out of fear they would be ousted from power, a massive disgrace for a Westminstorian.

All words Meadowhead Bard.
