I feel I must apologise my posts have been quite sombre recently. My intention today was for a a bit more of my nonsense, and I did try, honest! I planned and actually started writing about rescinding the law of gravity. Some how though it didn’t work out and the demise of our world won over. I ended up writing what may be the most powerful protest I have written to date.
The Law of the Jungle
The law of the jungle it will have to go
The vulture, hyena the shark and the crow
These creatures have no part in a civilised race
Challenge us now, we’ll tell you to your face
We’re calling you out you cowards and thieves
We want to live in peace amongst the green fields and leaves
No more of your false gods, false prophets false dreams
More and more of us see through your intricate schemes
This intelligent special unique species
we look down on you, you filth you faeces
We have the power to become more than the some of our parts
We don’t need greed, we have love, compassion and hearts
I don’t believe in God, I don’t believe in the Devil
But I do believe in absolute evil
You are the stealers of freedom the stealers of lives
Providers of hatred, providers of bombs guns, bayonet’s and knives
Lay down your weapons retract your lies
Leave us in peace you can feel our despise
I may be just a self proclaimed poet
But this song that I sing there’s so many that know it.
All words Meadowhead Bard.
