Meadowhead Bard

Random and surreal poetry satire and short stories.

In Love With a Flowery Sky and Daffodils.

I have really struggled to find something funny to write about, I’ve lost my part time job, the world is on a state of flux etch, etch.
Today’s isn’t too bad though, at least it’s not miserable.

BEING BORN.

I took a risk being born, but if I wasn’t here I regret it
If I hadn’t lived at all I’d tell myself to forget it
But then again you know, it’s all a matter of semantics
‘Cause I’m not a real poet you know, not one of those romantics

Wordsworth, Keats and Shelly, all so soppy, all so flowery
If I was an artist at all I’d be more of an L.S Lowry
No love struck youth then, or daffodils
My poetry is more like boys in boots and dark Satanic mills

So say my critics anyway, but sometimes I do like to be funny
It’s just “Events dear boy” are like a taxman taking all my money
So I’m sorry if I’m not always cheerful, but events in life are my trigger
Consider me then not a critic, just a humble reflecting mirror.

All words Meadowhead Bard.
