The quote I use most is obviously a Bob Dylan one, I use to think he was quoting something or someone else, it sounds biblical but that isn’t the case.
Some the full quote is “I make shoes for everyone while I still go barefoot” Meaning I do things for others but little is done for me.
Other Dylan quotes I sometimes use are “Go on your way accordingly and know you’re not alone” Then, sometimes I may sign off a letter or a card with “May you stay forever young”.
I’ve made the following little verse up around those three quotes.
I AM THE COBBLER.
I am the cobbler, I make shoes for everyone
I though still go barefoot, but the show it must go on
Mean while, may you all stay forever young
Be careful of those new boots though, the laces may come unstrung
So go on your way accordingly, know you’re not alone
Please don’t try calling me though I don’t have a phone
All words Meadowhead Bard.
