If I could erase a movie from my mind and watch it afresh, it would be the following. Can you guess what it is from my abridged version.
The Great Escape.
Flop, flop, frogman’s flippers on tile, Benjamin this is not your style
Laze around the pool all day, have you no ambition, you don’t know what you’ll do by your own admission.
This kind of attitude, is not good enough for our daughter, you need a career Ben, leave her alone we will show no quarter.
Elaine is Benjamin’s love, but by Elaine’s mother Ben’s seduced, no conversation, no small talk to sex it’s all is reduced.
Elaine’s mother Mrs Robinson, has someone else in mind for Elaine, but Ben desires her, he is feeling pain.
The wedding day arrives for Elaine’s arranged marriage, all her mother’s efforts failed to Ben disparage.
Ben banging on the window overlooking the alter, he will have his sweet Elaine his determination shall not falter.
She runs to him down the aisle, with a cross he bars the doors. Their mode of escape quite novel, neither been on a bus before.
Looking smug on the back seat, love in both their eyes, a great movie draws to an end to the audiences sighs.

Of course it’s The Graduate, my wife and I only watch nonviolent movies, the Graduate fits that criteria. Which proves you don’t need violence and foul language for a great movie. Also of course the music by Simon and Garfunkel is the icing on the cake.
