I’m inspired by two people, Greta Thunberg for her love and devotion to our home, our planet, and Bob Dylan for giving me my love of words and their power. I have written about both, for prompts before, so I’m not going to repeat, you can find all in the archives of my blog anyway.
We are as I write this on holiday in Wales, and last week took the trip by train up Mount Snowdon, so that is what has inspired todays poem.
When I say “All under the spell…..” of course that is a generalisation, because I know from responses to my blog, there is at least a small percentage of the world population that does have the seeing eye.
THE VIEW FROM ABOVE.
I’m inspired to climb up higher see over the shoulders of crowds
It’s my desire, it’s to what I aspire, to look down from above the clouds
I want to see what’s bothering me amongst the massing hoards
Why all the greed, why can’t man be freed, of fear mongers and evil warlords?
I’m inspired to gain knowledge, to hunt it and forage just for my own satisfaction no doubt
For there is no way, I could convince and sway, others to stand and speak out
You’re all all under the spell of heaven or hell, the seed far too deeply planted
So I’ll appease myself, keep my thoughts on the shelf, weather the storm with feet firmly planted.

“Oh here he goes again “ I can hear you all saying “Getting all serious.”Well maybe, but a friend, a good friend advised to mix funny with serious, so I took his advice, put something funny on yesterday, possibly one of my funniest, even my wife laughed. Guess what? Hardly anyone viewed it!
