When Gravity Fails, and negatively Don’t Pull You Through

The title a line from Bob Dylan’s song “Just like Tom Thumbs blues” From his album “Highway 61 Revisited” Dylan at his most enigmatic, the line seems to be nonsense, and yet conveys a feeling of desperation and abandonment. Poetry at a level, I can only ever dream of attaining.
So here’s a bit of proper nonsense.

HOW TO DEAL WITH NEGATIVE THOUGHTS.

I’m not wired up right, so I wouldn’t know
No idea which way the current should flow
Am I AC am I DC?
Is what I’m saying strictly PC
Red for positive, black for negative
Green for my mind that’s truly vegetative

But I am old, now red is brown and black is blue
Are you confused, am I getting through?
To make things worse I am colour blind
So I ask my wife she doesn’t mind
She is deaf so she can’t hear
When I touch the live and sizzle and sear

Oh I forgot, green now has stripes,
so you don’t mix it up with water pipes
So when you’ve wired up that nice new plug
You kneel down to try it on the rug
If you have some negative thoughts
Get your wife to try it, maybe she ought.
