I’ve top and tailed my poem today with two verses from Bob Dylan’s “It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding”)

I physically wept the other night when I saw the picture of that awful insane orange “man” (Too good a word) posing as Jesus Christ. I was afraid before, now I’m very afraid, in fact terrified!
So humanity, that was your wake up call ACT NOW.

A verse from “It’s alright Ma”

Disillusioned words like bullets bark
As human gods aim for their mark
Make everything from toy guns that spark
To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark
It’s easy to see without looking too far
That not much is really sacred.

In the following I use the word “Coruption” I use that word not in its lightest context, but corrupt, as in evil, rotten.

BOYS WILL BE BOYS.

Don’t want to visit Russia, something evil over there
Don’t want to visit America, there’s corruption in the air
Don’t want to visit China, I like to see awareness in peoples faces
Don’t want to visit, armies, airforce or navy bases
I don’t want to go anywhere, I’m fine just where I am
I’ll just sit and watch it all unfold, seek comfort where I can
When it all comes crashing down, you’ll know where I’ll be
I’ll be sat in my favourite cafe, eating croissant, drinking tea

If it’s going to take a while, stretched out and protracted
I may take a little walk, to see how others have reacted
I guess they’ll be looting, mugging also rape
But still I’ll be glad I waited here, there’s really no escape
After my walk, I’ll return to the old familiar cafe
My mate will be waiting there, we can play chess and have a laugh
After all our consciences our clear, we’ve done everything that we can
We pushed for piece, for war to cease, but man will just be man.

Teachers teach that knowledge waits. Can lead to hundred dollar plates. Goodness hides behind its gates. But even the president of the United States. Sometimes must have to stand naked
