Meadowhead Bard

Random and surreal poetry satire and short stories.

Ghengis Khan and His Brother Don.

“Genghis Khan and his brother Don, Couldn’t keep on keeping on, we’ll climb that bridge after it’s gone, after we’re way past it”.
From Bob Dylans “You Ain’t Going Nowhere” Greatest Hits Volume 2 album.

Please note the line including the Name Hitler says “UNDER HATED”

HISTRIONICS.

Vlad the Impaler was over rated, Hitler under hated
Henry Eight over ated, Hannibal’s elephants were all fated
Nero played fiddle whilst Rome did cease.
Tolstoy’s war and piece I couldn’t swallow without grease

History is littered with failure, in plain clothes or military regalia
but the one notion that shouldn’t fail ya.
The one thing that can’t come from war,
that’s peace and that’s for sure.

In a way, this post has been about short sightedness, the short sightedness of leaders to foresee the effects of their actions. This failure to look beyond I have noticed has manifest itself in viewers of my blog. A short catchy title, I get lots of views, a more mundane title equals less views. So one should never judge a book by its cover.

All words Meadowhead Bard.
