I know I said I wasn’t going to put on a post every day, and this is the second post in as many days, but I did write it many days ago, and it’s so apt for this prompt.
DOGS RULE OK!
Dogs in the street, dogs in the park, dogs barking in the dark
Dogs in palaces, dogs in homes dogs out there free to roam
Dogs in the pond, dogs in the river, so many dogs makes me quiver
Two dogs with a woman, three with a man, you’ll have guessed now I’m not a fan
Dogs are animals they hunt in packs, men are men brains they lack
Dogs have now learned how to use phones, disguising them as chewy bones
Rufus, Prince and Logan too all communed “Let’s start a coup”
Dogs with guns, dogs with knives, men all running for their lives
Our planet now ruled by dogs, men and women fetching logs
It’s us now that have to beg and more, us that have to give a paw
We’ve been hoist by our own petard, it was written on the cards
Told in covid “Go buy a hound” just like sheep we felt duty bound
So here we are in this sorry mess, well it could be worse I guess
As you lay down in your basket, don’t get upset and blow a gasket
At least you don’t have bills to pay, no stress and worry day to day
Dogs may leave stuff in a lump, but at least there’s not a dog like Trump
All words Meadowhead Bard.
