1984 and All That.

1984 by George Orwell was definitely a book I regretted reading it tapped straight into a depressive seam. It was like a reflection in a murky pond all those years ago, now it’s like a reflection in the clearest silvered mirror. George’s prediction was a little early but nonetheless accurate, if a little over exaggerated. Give it a few more years though.
Those of you that suffer from depression will recognise the following, the feeling that someone came in the night with a giant syringe and just sucked all the fight out of you.

PRISON.

Looking through the bars of my prison, I see life as through a prism, scattered images, scattered thoughts, lies and false religions being taught
All is lies all is phoney I want divorce from this matrimony, my partner cannot be trusted, all is corrosion all is rusted
World begone, world away, I saw you for yourself today, I saw through your mask, I saw through your veil, will I live to tell the tale?
When tomorrow I awake, I will remember all is fake, I will don my magic sunglasses plough my way through the dark molasses’s.
I can fight another day, but in this hour it doesn’t seem that way, humanity it depends on me, and all the others with the power to see.

The “matrimony “ reference is metaphorical, I still love my wife.
