I am being asked “What tradition from another country should we adopt?” I trawled the internet for some interesting ones, and asked our dear Prime Minister to choose.

I wrote a letter to Prime Minister Starmer
“What do you think would make England calmer?
In Spain they like throwing ripe tomatoes
In India coconuts on heads with striking blows

Switzerland they’re into sausage tossing
In Mexico the day the dead come threshold crossing
We already have dancing round a striped maypole
Oh Mr Starmer we’re in a hole!

In Bosnia they eat vast amounts of scrambled egg
Here in the UK politicians have scrambled heads
A lot of our MP’s they like to cottage
But I didn’t expect the answer “Tossing sausage”.
